About Ecky Thump

Ecky Thump is the publishing house owned by RiK Alker Kids’ Author, an International Best-Selling Children’s Author and passionate advocate of learning and literacy.

Also known as R.K. Although his books are often read by adults too! RiK has 2 main websites: www.rkalker.com RiK’s long-established children’s author website, and www.rik.org.uk focused on RiK’s school author days, charity and life-saving work. RiK has a career spanning 56 years across 18 businesses and jobs. As an ex-university course leader and teacher of a myriad of subjects, he exploded his chilli growing hobby to achieve UK #1 as a media star sought by the best celebrity chefs and Michelin-starred restaurants and rose to become the first 2000s 2 million+ YouTuber. As an ex-999 emergency ambulance person, he saved 6,000 lives on the 999 Emergency Ambulances, delivered babies, revived the dead, and was highly commended—RiK wears his 100% Patient Survival Record with pride.
